Financial Literacy Festival was held in Istaravshan city
On the initiative of the National Bank of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of financial and credit and insurance organisations and development partners, ’Financial Literacy" festival was held in the Palace of Culture of Istaravshan city on 25 June this year. At the beginning of the event, deputy chairman of Istaravshan city Tolib Olimjonzoda made a speech, emphasising the importance of raising the level of financial literacy of the population. Then deputy head of the regional department of NBT in Khujand city Siraeva Zebo told about the key objectives of the festival.
Then specialists of the National Bank of Tajikistan and representatives of financial organisations made presentations on various topics related to financial literacy, including: development of cashless settlements based on modern technologies, prevention of financial fraud, the role of financial institutions in raising financial awareness of the population, methods of identifying fraudulent schemes. In addition, contests were organised as part of the festival, the winners of which received memorable gifts: a TV set, a tablet, a mobile phone and wireless headphones.

In the second part of the festival the ‘Exhibition of financial and insurance products’ took place, where financial and credit institutions, insurance companies and individual entrepreneurs presented their services and products.
It should be noted that the event was accompanied by a cultural programme, which added to the festival. The artists delighted the guests with their performance, raising the spirits of more than 4000 participants: schoolchildren, students, teachers, employees of financial organisations, representatives of foreign organisations and other guests of the festival.
