What Is Phishing?

What Is Phishing?
Phishing is one of the most common forms of fraud in which scammers use deception, psychological manipulation, impersonation, and other fraudulent techniques to obtain people's confidential and banking information for illegal purposes.
What Is the Main Goal of Phishing?
The primary objective of phishing is to obtain confidential and banking information, including email and social media usernames and passwords, bank card numbers, CVV security codes, one-time passwords (OTPs) sent via SMS, as well as other personal and financial information.
Using this information, fraudsters can gain unauthorized access to bank accounts and electronic wallets, steal funds, conduct unauthorized financial transactions, purchase goods and services, or engage in extortion.
