As of 31 May 2026, the total number of electronic wallets reached 19.3 million, representing an increase of 5.5 million, or 39.4%, compared with the same date of the previous year.
During the period from January to May 2026, a total of 12.0 million cashless payment transactions with a total value of TJS 2.9 billion were carried out through electronic wallets. Compared with the same period of the previous year, the number of transactions increased by 30.1%, while their total value rose by 98.9%.
The continued growth in the number of electronic wallets reflects the rapid digitalization of the country's economy.
