Financial literacy festival in Tursunzoda city

On the initiative of the National Bank of Tajikistan in cooperation with credit financial institutions, insurance companies and development partners, a festival of financial literacy was held in the Tursunzoda city on 25 June 2025.

Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Daler Murodalizoda and Mayor of Tursunzadeh Parviz Akramzoda made speeches at the opening ceremony of the event. They emphasised the importance of financial education, the need to improve financial literacy of the population and its role in the development of the country's economy.

It was pointed out that holding financial literacy festivals is not only an educational event, but also an effective opportunity to communicate with experts, share experience and get acquainted with new financial instruments.

During the first part of the festival, experts from the National Bank of Tajikistan, insurance companies and payment systems made presentations on various topics, including: ‘Development of Islamic banking in Tajikistan’, ‘Prevention of financial fraud’, ‘The role of financial organisations in improving financial literacy of the population’, ‘The importance of non-cash settlements’ and ‘Prospects of digitalisation of the insurance system in the Republic of Tajikistan’. The event also included a question and answer competition, after which active participants received memorable prizes.

The second part of the event took place on the square in front of the "Dusti" Palace and was dedicated to the exhibition of products of the country's financial and insurance organisations. Financial and insurance institutions presented their products to the festival audience.

The final part of the event included a bright cultural programme with the participation of famous artists of the country, as well as a prize giving on the topic of financial knowledge, which gave the event a festive atmosphere.

We remind that the financial literacy festivals are organised within the framework of implementation of the National Strategy of Financial Inclusion of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026. The main purpose of these events is to increase the level of financial literacy of the population, expand access to and awareness of financial and insurance services.
