Basics of financial literacy

Dear friends, today we would like to give you some tips on the basics of financial literacy:

1. Identify your expenses: First of all, record all sources of income and mandatory expenses (rent, utilities, loans, etc.). This will help you understand how much money is left over for other needs.
2. Make a budget plan: Divide your expenses into categories (groceries, transport, leisure, etc.) and set a limit for each category. This will help you control your spending and avoid overspending.
3. Use the 50/30/20 rule: allocate 50 per cent of your income to mandatory expenses, 30 per cent to desired expenses, and 20 per cent to savings and debt repayment.
4. Track spending: Regularly monitor how your budget is performing. This can be done manually or through financial management apps.
5. Avoid impulse purchases: Before making a spontaneous purchase, consider whether you really need it. This will help you avoid unnecessary spending.
6. Save automatically: Set up an automatic transfer of funds from your salary card to your savings account. This will help you increase your savings on a regular basis.
7. Review your budget regularly: Financial situations can change, so it is important to review your budget and make changes if necessary.
